Keeping entertained whilst staying home!

With the whole world in lockdown, you are doing everyone a solid by staying home. Now comes the hard part - keeping yourself and everyone in the house entertained and mentally stimulated throughout these times!
So we've put together some ideas to help you out!

MEMORY AND FLASH CARDS

Entertain the whole house with our new Memory Card Games!

It’s been a crazy whirlwind of a month, after selling out of our 1000 piece puzzles we knew we needed to create something that will help keep you folks stuck at home entertained, mentally stimulated whilst bringing some joy! We are so excited to introduce our new Memory Card decks! We’ve created 8 kinds, 4 for kids and 4 for grown-ups full of your favourite La La Land illustrations and themes!

We’ve got Koalas, Dogs, Australian Tales & Australian Animals for the kids which come with 26 cards in the pack to create 12 pairs when playing ‘memory’. These big colourful playing cards can double up as flashcards too which is a great tool for education when introducing kids to new words.

For the grown-ups we’ve created a deck of 52 cards to make 26 pairs when playing ‘memory’. Featuring our brand new Wild Fur You Fact cards - yep that’s right, there are 26 animal sex facts so we guarantee you’ll be a zoologist by the time you’re done playing with them!

We’ve also got the cheeky Laughin’ Larrikins pack which spotlights our 26 rudest, crudest and downright taboo-ist La La Land concepts. Warning - rude words inside!

Come out of isolation with new bird identifying skills which will wow your friends and family next time you’re out in a public park! Our Australian Bird set is perfect for the native bird lovers and features 26 beautifully illustrated breeds.

Frida’s Paradise returns as a game of memory! With 26 cards spotlighting the dreamy settings and scenes from our popular Frida’s range, this card set is bound to give you some interior inspiration for your very own abode!

COLOURING-IN

Okay, so we may be biased on this one but we reckon that there's no better way to pass the time than colouring in! We've dug through the archives and have compiled some of our favourites for all ages.
This is another fantastic activity that aids in reducing stress and anxiety. It has the ability to relax the fear centre of your brain, the amygdala. It induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind. This generates mindfulness and quietness, which allows your mind to get some rest after all the hours you've probably spent staring at news updates and social media!

Try these printable sheets, suitable for kids and grown-ups.
Simply right-click, save the image or open the image in a new tab and print it off at home!

And something a little more challenging for the grown-ups!

MAKE YOUR OWN ART

Don't roll your eyes! You may not be the next Picasso or Frida Khalo but why not use this time to sit back, look into that old box of craft supplies you keep and make your mark?
It's the artists and illustrators who thrive in these isolated environments, which means this is the perfect time to bunker down and start creating.
We have a huge variety of artists you can check out for inspiration and there are endless tutorials available on Youtube and sites like Skillshare where you can learn step-by-step how to make your own art. Not to mention all the different kinds of art like drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, bookbinding, mosaics, needlework, knitting, sewing, photography - the creative world is your oyster!
