An award-winning artist known for her colorful and whimsical portraits of animals, Gina Matarazzo aims to show the viewer a magical way of looking at ordinary things. Through their point of view, she tries to reveal truths on how to be more genuine like animals are and be in tune with the things that matter the most in life.
Her work is meant to distract the beholder from the difficulties that the world presents to them, promote peace and joy, and to remind the viewer how there is beauty available to them if only they stop for a moment and take notice. Her works have sold throughout the U.S. and internationally.
Gina studied illustration at University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA and has worked as both a designer and illustrator for the music and book publishing industries. Her past client list has included Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Glen Phillips, Peter Tork, 88.5 WXPN, Austin Music, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw Hill, and Running Press Books. She lives just outside of Philadelphia, PA in New Jersey and works with several galleries in the U.S. and abroad.
