Hayley Wilson

Originally from Victoria, Hayley grew up surrounded by an artistic family. As a child she had a natural gift for creativity and art, with her Grandmother's creative guidance and nurturing they would often sketch together. Now happily settled in Tasmania her fondness of animals has inspired her passion for drawing to develop. Hayley received no formal artistic training, rather most of the skills and techniques Hayley uses in her stunning pencil drawings is self-taught through the reading of books and through practice, trial and error. She uses Prismacolor pencils primarily along with Faber Castell Polychromos and builds layer upon layer to achieve realistic depth in her drawings. It is the vibrant colours and detail in nature that inspire her choice of subject.
